SIMPSON PARK

Public BBQ

This park features a distinctive playground built from recycled materials salvaged from demolished houses, creating unique climbing challenges and obstacle courses. The equipment suits kids aged 3 and up, with plenty of climbing structures, swings, and ladders to explore. Beyond the playground, the park offers a cricket net, basketball ring, and enough open space for a casual soccer game. A public barbecue is available for picnics, along with shaded tables and benches under the trees. Toilets are on site, and the park is fully fenced, making supervision easier. The setting provides ample shade from mature trees and plantings, though mosquitoes can be active, so insect repellent is recommended. Parking is limited and may be difficult during peak times. The park primarily serves local residents within walking distance. Some recent feedback notes that certain areas could use maintenance improvements.
